Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for the Interventional Pulmonary Service. The APP will collaborate with designated physicians and healthcare team members to provide medical care to oncology patients. Role Overview: Collaborate with designated physicians and other healthcare team members to provide consultative care to an assigned caseload of patients with pulmonary issues as part of the Pulmonary Service inpatient consultation team Perform both shared new consultation visits and independent follow-up consultation visits as well as perform or assist with performing thoracic ultrasound examinations and thoracentesis.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience
  • BLS certification
  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designated physicians and other healthcare team members to provide consultative care to an assigned caseload of patients with pulmonary issues as part of the Pulmonary Service inpatient consultation team
  • Perform both shared new consultation visits and independent follow-up consultation visits as well as perform or assist with performing thoracic ultrasound examinations and thoracentesis.
