Join a dynamic and collaborative general surgery team in a growing specialty line as an Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Highly motivated and skilled APP to support our dedicated general surgeons in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Patient-focused team providing high-quality care in a dynamic inpatient setting, with flexibility to float to the outpatient clinic when needed. Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred in an inpatient or surgical specialty
  • Licensed (or eligible) in the state of Iowa
  • DEA and prescribing authority in Iowa
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • 1-2 years of experience preferred in an inpatient or surgical specialty

Responsibilities

  • Primarily in patient-focused will be inpatient general surgery patients
  • OR surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, post-operative management, and discharge planning
  • Conduct independent assessments and manage pre-/post-operative care
  • Inpatient census 8-15 patients
  • Interpret imaging and lab results; develop and coordinate follow-up treatment plans
  • Outpatient clinic as needed
  • Evening and weekend call coverage as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
