About The Position

General Surgery Physician Assistant/ARNP Franciscan Surgical Associates at St. Michael is seeking a Full Time 1.0 FTE General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Silverdale Washington. The selected provider will be an integral part of a busy, collaborative and multi-disciplinary General Surgery practice located on the campus of St. Michael Medical Center, a new state of the art hospital with 262 beds. The team is currently comprised of three full time physicians and two full time APP's. This position is inpatient in nature, supporting our acute care surgery model with no outpatient clinical duties. The selected candidate's role will consist of a mix of general surgery as well as some colorectal and bariatric surgery, to inclue Davinci robotic surgery. The candidate will assist a total of 5 surgeons with their elective cases as well as support the acute care surgery service which is covered by a pool of 8 surgeons on a rotating basis. The acute care surgery service is also supported by a 5th year (chief) resident from Virginia Mason. The average census is 16 patients per day and 3 surgeries per day. Core components of this position include: First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic and open (bariatrics, general surgery, and other) procedures Inpatient hospital rounding and patient management Consultations, discharges, managing order, patient history, and surgery prep 40 Hours Week, which will include 1 in 3 weekends at St. Michael Medical Center. Shared call responsibilities. Compensation Range: $141,000 - $194,500, DOE, plus additional wRVU productivity

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Licensed in the state of Washington as a P.A or ARNP by the time of employment
  • Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
