The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will manage pediatric orthopedic injuries for a level 1 trauma center at Children’s Medical Center, Dallas for both outpatient clinic visits and inpatient/ED consultations. This position will demonstrate a high degree of critical thinking and clinical expertise in working with pediatric orthopedic patients in the emergency room and both inpatient and outpatient settings. OR · Graduate of a Master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. Licenses/Certifications · Licensure as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ( CPNP-AC, CPNP-PC, or AC/PC ) by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. OR · Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification . Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board ( PA-C) . AND · Current Basic Life Support ( BLS ), Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
