About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy, well-established group at FPN Women's Specialty & Midwifery Crown Point located in Crown Point, Indiana. Provider would be joining an established physician. Franciscan Health is a non-profit health care ministry with primary and specialty care physician groups located throughout Indiana and Illinois. Requirements

  • Master's Degree - Required
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - Required - or Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required

  • Having clinic experience is a plus.
  • Candidate will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
  • Provider will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.
  • Provider will need to work collaboratively with our team of physicians and midwives, and support staff to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive women's health assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and screenings
  • Provide pre- and post-partum care
  • Managing prenatal care for expectant mothers, including prenatal visits, monitoring fetal development, and providing education on pregnancy and childbirth
  • Collaborating with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care for pregnant women
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and laboratory tests, and developing appropriate treatment plans based on results
