About The Position

Carilion Clinic is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Hand Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their Hand Surgery team. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons in a dynamic, high-volume practice serving a diverse patient population.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Program or Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) as set forth by the state of Virginia.
• If Nurse Practitioner, license to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Current PALS/NPR, as required, specific to position.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.
• Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
• Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
