JOB SUMMARY: The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patients’ medical conditions. Conducting follow-up patient care. Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results. Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate. Answering emergency telephone calls on a rotating schedule. Administering and ordering drugs for patients. Completing all notes/tasks in patients’ EMR accounts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed. Performing patient physicals. Providing health education to patients and families. Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic. Performing other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement.

Requirements

Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care [required]
Master's in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant [required]
Current Licensed as Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in Georgia [required]
Current board certification by AANP/ANCC (NPs) or NCCPA (PAs) [required]
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility to obtain [preferred]

Responsibilities
