About The Position

Ascension Seton is looking for an APRN or PA for our Outpatient Wound Care and Burn Clinic. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Dell Seton Medical Center UT located in Austin, TX. As a teaching hospital, our Outpatient Wound Care and Burn Clinic team is composed of physicians, APPs, residents from various programs, and medical students. Position Highlights: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred Key Responsibilities: The wound care clinic serves patients in need of wound and burn care. Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas is a teaching hospital. Residents and medical students will occasionally rotate through the clinic. There is also the potential of APP students to rotate through based on approval from wound care leadership and academic administration This position involves the care of chronic and complex wounds including burn wounds. The APP maintains a schedule independent from clinic physicians. Responsibilities include: H&P, follow ups, sharp debridement, obtaining cultures, and participant in clinic process improvement. Bedside procedures are performed within the clinic. This position involves teaching and guiding residents as they rotate through the clinic. You will work collaboratively with the clinic medical director, clinic manager, and clinic staff. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
1 year of experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Master's degree preferred.
