Job Title Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) - Pediatrics Breastfeeding Medicine I Part Time Location Middleburg Heights Facility Middleburg Heights Family Health Center Department Primary Care Pediatrics-Children's Institute Job Code T98100 Shift Day/Evening Rotation Schedule 8:00am-5:00pm Job Summary APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in the Hospital care role provide outpatient and/or hospital based care to patients (more than 50% of their time) with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Outpatient/Hospital care PA's practice in a setting that requires the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health problems. Must have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams. Job Details Breastfeeding Medicine is ready to add a qualified Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to its team within the pediatric ambulatory department at Middleburg Heights FHC and Independence FHC. Working as an independent provider seeing both infants and mothers in the specialty area of breastfeeding. Collaboration with breast feeding medicine pediatric specialist on site as well as other pediatric providers. Knowledge and experience with mothers /infants who are breastfeeding is required and IBLC preferred.
