About The Position
Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified experienced Advanced Practice Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Cardiology Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: Nice mix of General Cardiology Team consists of 25 Physicians and 18 Advanced Practice Providers 4 days of clinic 1/2 day seeig patients in the Skilled Nursing Facility No OR no procedures 15/30 patient slots See 16-20 patients per day on average in clinic Excellent Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery Program Great office support staff Beautiful Northwest Suburban location Responsibilities: In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred. Verified by Local Credentialing office.
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
