About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Cardiology team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: Monday through Friday Day time schedule Located in Indianapolis Responsibilities: Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician. Obtain patient history and performs assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures. Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions. Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
1 year of experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred.
Master's degree preferred.
