About The Position

Carilion Family Medicine- Waynesboro has a full time APP ( NP or PA) opportunity available. The APP will assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the delivery of primary health care and patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assess, plan and provide care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Perform patient examinations, compile appropriate patient information and documentation. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations and refill medications. Monday-Friday, 8-5.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
• Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
• Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
