About The Position

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Carilion Family Medicine- Waynesboro has a full time APP ( NP or PA) opportunity available. The APP will assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the delivery of primary health care and patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assess, plan and provide care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Perform patient examinations, compile appropriate patient information and documentation. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations and refill medications. Monday-Friday, 8-5.

Requirements

Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
