About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider will perform comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations, interpret laboratory and diagnostic test. Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data. Formulate a differential diagnosis and establish a working diagnosis. Develop a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions within the scope of practice and in conjunction with the neurosurgeon. The APP directly involved in surgical care and will be expected to take call.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or successor accredited program or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Is licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• BLS Certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Possesses skills necessary to perform safely as evidenced by state certification of licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Neurosurgical experience preferred.
