About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners (STMP) is looking for a Neurosurgery APP Fellow for our Howell Allen Neurosurgery Clinic in Nashville, TN. Position Highlights Rounding on Inpatients in both Ascension Saint Thomas West and Midtown Hospitals Experience in Spine/Ortho/Neuro along with ICU experience is a plus Additional cross coverage with outpatient clinic is available About Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital With 541 licensed beds it provides adult specialty healthcare to the more than two million residents of Middle Tennessee, Southwestern Kentucky and Northern Alabama. Advanced Comprehensive stroke center The largest adult cardiac surgery and most comprehensive structural heart program in the region Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery. About Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital The hospital is one of the largest in the state with 683 licensed acute and rehab care beds and covers nearly 2 million square feet and spans more than six city blocks. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Physician Assistant credentialed from the Tennessee Committee on Physicians Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
Obtain patient history and perform assessment. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
