About The Position

This provider will serve as an in-patient Urology Nocturnist APP. Currently, the schedule includes working 7 days on/7 days off from roughly 7:00p – 5:00a (subject to changes based on the needs of the position). Urology experience is preferred but not required. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an NP or PA that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. This individual will provide comprehensive inpatient care to patients with conditions affecting the urinary and reproductive systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting urology consults that come in overnight through the ED and rounding on admitted patients, in addition to outpatient overnight call coverage. The current schedule will include working nights: 7 on, 7 off (subject to change based on needs of the position). Urology experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
DEA license
BLS and ACLS certified (preferred but not required)
Certified Nurse Practitioner: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board OR Physician Assistant: Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant – NCCPA.
Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board.
Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
