Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP, to include FNPs) to join our Neurosurgery team at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. The ideal candidate will support our commitment to providing the right care, in the right place, at the right time to our patients to enhance their well-being and improve their health. They will demonstrate the ability to carry out our Riverside Care Difference, which reflects our commitment to quality, safety, and service. Scope of Practice: Our neurosurgical team is dedicated to treating patients with diseases of the brain and spinal cord, including minimally-invasive spine surgery guided by 3D imaging, and innovative treatment like deep brain stimulation or MRI guided focused ultrasound for Parkinson’s disease. Our team approach ensures comprehensive, coordinated care for patients from hospitalization through outpatient treatment and services. Principal responsibilities include outpatient clinic focusing on new patient consults and post-operative follow-up, and OR assist with the Neurosurgeon. The Advanced Practice Provider contributes to excellence in patient care and evidence-based practice and is an integral team member of Riverside Comprehensive Neurosurgical Program. Qualifications Experience: Prior Neurosurgery experience preferred (but not required). Education: Accredited Program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants (required)
