About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join and lead our dynamic Emergency General Surgery (EGS) team at a high-volume Level I Trauma Center. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work on a busy and complex surgical service line, providing comprehensive care across the entire patient continuum, from initial consultation in emergency room through inpatient management, discharge planning, and outpatient follow-up in our surgery clinic. The APP will work closely and collaboratively with attending surgeons and general surgery residents, participating in daily rounds, assisting with bedside procedures, and contributing to the surgical management of acutely ill patients. Autonomy in patient care and strong interdisciplinary collaboration are central to this role. EGS APPs will complete a First Assist course which is fully reimbursed by the institution. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking to develop or expand their acute surgical expertise in a fast-paced, educationally rich environment. APPs are actively involved in education, quality improvement, and research initiatives, contributing to the advancement of surgical care.
