The University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry has an opening in the Center for Dependency, Addiction, and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) at University of Colorado Hospital for a half-time (.5 FTE) advanced practice provider (PA/PMHNP). Key Responsibilities : Manages substance use disorder treatment and other co-occurring psychiatric treatment needs of adult populations primarily in an Outpatient/ setting at CeDAR. Participates in clinical research and dissemination of findings, including presentation of scholarly writing. This position requires familiarity with the use of diagnostic evaluation, management and pharmacology for substance use disorders and other co-occurring psychiatric disorders, risk assessment, and treatment of substance intoxication and withdrawal. This position will also participate in performance improvement activities, quality improvement, patient safety activities; assist in maintaining compliance with JCAHO accreditation and other internal and external regulatory statues including the code of conduct. Work Location: Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
