The University of Virginia Health System is seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - to join our dynamic Pediatric Otolaryngology team. This position is based at the UVA Battle Building, supporting a collaborative group of Pediatric Otolaryngology surgeons and working closely with an experienced APP partner. This team offers complex care to a range of physiologic conditions and is an integral part of comprehensive aerodigestive, cleft, vascular malformation, and complex care teams-an opportunity that is both unique and noteworthy. The APP will play an integral role in the outpatient care of children with ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck conditions. This is a clinical position that includes both independent and team-based care with a pathway toward increased autonomy based on training, experience, and clinical competency. The APP is a valued member of the pediatric aerodigestive, vascular malformation, complex care, and cleft palate teams-an aspect of the role that is highly collaborative and enhances both professional growth and patient care outcomes. Works in conjunction with the medical director, administrative management, nursing and other interprofessional team members to facilitate patient care and management throughout the health care system. Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of medical processes and procedures commensurate with training and experience, as credentialed by UVA Health System.
