Your work on the ADNB program will usher in a new era of propulsion technology for next-generation aircraft and pave the way for a more sustainable future. As part GE Aerospace Engineering, the Advanced Lead Engineer – Inner Compressor Frame Focal will be the partner focal point for hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the ADNB Fan and Booster team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 3 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison to a partner engineering team and ensure they execute the design and analysis of the assigned components using sound engineering principles and adhering to GE Aerospace standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements
  • Provide technical guidance that influences partner outcomes
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Develop action plans, with guidance, to respond to issues/ problems
  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Occasional travel <25% may be required
