Works in a fast-paced, highly physical, high patient-volume environment to support the Advanced Imaging Teams in optimizing patient flow to include screening and preparing patients for exams, safely transporting patients to and from Imaging exam rooms, transferring patients to and from Imaging exam tables, preparing rooms for next patients. Pre-exam, may be asked to assist by verifying lab orders in electronic medical record (EMR), checking for patients to have IVs and communicating to nurses when IV is needed, interviewing/screening patients, completing patient related paperwork, handing gowns to patients and assisting patients as necessary. Post exam, may be asked to scan documents into PACS, verify exams are sent to PACS, stock rooms, process requests for electronic image sharing and prepare CD/DVDs, process requests to upload outside images to PACS, and help submit equipment service requests. The Advanced Imaging Technologist Aide is a vital member of the Imaging Team and is relied upon to be organized, resourceful, anticipatory of technologist and patient needs, have excellent time-management skills, excellent attendance, excellent communication skills, excellent telephone etiquette, trustworthy, and exceptionally patient-care focused. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned including assisting in other modalities if needed. District position in which employee can be scheduled or re-assigned to work at other campuses.
