About The Position

As an Advanced Hardware Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a key role in
designing and developing sophisticated hardware solutions that advance the
future of aerospace technology. You will apply deep technical expertise to
create innovative, high-reliability hardware that contributes to safer, more
efficient, and more dependable aerospace products.

In this role, you will support Honeywell’s Integrated Flight Deck Systems (IFS)
organization and contribute to the development of the next generation of
Honeywell Anthem™ Displays. Working under minimal supervision, you will
collaborate with world-class engineers to design, test, validate, and transition
complex hardware from prototype through production. You will also serve as a
technical mentor, supporting the growth of junior engineers and contributing to
the success of complex engineering programs.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of
our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. External hires will begin
with 90 days on site before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced hardware systems from concept through production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and ensure seamless integration with software and systems engineering.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB design support, and comprehensive hardware validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis during development and qualification phases.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and aerospace industry trends to drive innovation in product designs.
