About The Position

As a Power and Analog Hardware Design engineer for our maritime business area, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for concept, design, development, test, production, and life cycle support of power and analog equipment designs as well as subsystem-level designs. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Analog design, Power System or Power Equipment design, and/or Systems Engineering experience. What sets you apart: Understanding of development of power system architectures; knowledgeable in power conversion (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC & various topologies), power conditioning, filtering, distribution, protection, control & monitoring techniques, and related analog design skills is a plus. Background with design and development of analog and power filter circuit & equipment design in e.g., communications, networked systems, telemetry, RF/microwave or similar technologies. Experience specifying, designing, analyzing, testing power and analog circuitry and equipment; including familiarity with related CAD/modeling/simulation tools, and translation into circuit boards & products. Experience specifying, qualifying, testing and successfully integrating commercial off the shelf hardware, especially for the Defense / Aerospace marketplace. Familiarity with servo & control systems design, modeling, implementation, and test is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed signal circuit analysis/design Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
