About The Position

Keystone Human Services is seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role involves teaching, coaching, and supporting individuals to achieve "everyday lives," which includes fostering opportunities for social interaction, developing friendships, securing and maintaining employment, exercising personal choice, managing daily living activities, and accomplishing personal goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of work experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health
ODP recognized DSP certification or ability to be enrolled, pursue, and obtain a certification upon hire
Effective communication skills
Intermediate computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and learn web-based systems
Valid driver’s license and access to properly insured vehicle
Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, MVR, Child Abuse and FBI clearances

Responsibilities

Teach, coach, and support individuals with intellectual disabilities
Act as a role model to support and assist individuals in having “everyday lives”
Facilitate opportunities for individuals to meet new people and develop friendships
Support individuals in finding and maintaining employment
Assist individuals in exercising choice and maintaining activities of daily living
Help individuals accomplish personal goals
