About The Position

Keystone Human Services is seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized, person-directed support to adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism. The role focuses on fostering inclusion and building communities where individuals can thrive. Responsibilities include creating a healthy home environment, teaching daily living skills, assisting with personal care, and advocating for health and wellness. This position may also involve administering medications, performing delegated nursing tasks, monitoring health conditions under nurse supervision, and responding to emergencies according to protocols and behavior support plans. Advanced Direct Support Professionals support individuals with high levels of need as determined by clinical and/or health care assessments. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year work experience supporting individuals with either challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health
  • Effective communication and proficient computer skills
  • Successfully complete and maintain all required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical and/or behavioral health trainings necessary
  • Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
