Requirements
- 8+ years of professional game design experience focused on technical design.
- Experience with at least one successfully-published large-scale multiplayer online game.
- Bachelorâs Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Expert-level proficiency with Unreal Engine, especially Blueprints.
- Strong understanding of all game development disciplines and the content pipeline.
- Excellent problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communicator, capable of mentoring and explaining technical concepts.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of rapid prototypes for new gameplay systems and features.
- Collaborate with the design team to build complex gameplay systems and supporting tools.
- Work with engineering and technical art teams to ensure design vision is technically sound.
- Design, implement, and iterate on complex gameplay features using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
- Mentor other designers on technical design best practices and optimization.
- Perform peer reviews for Blueprints and technical design work to maintain high standards.
- Help define and document technical standards for design-created content.
