About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Technical Designer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development process from concept to production. You will create detailed technical packages that ensure fit and construction adhere to brand standards while keeping cross-functional teams informed. Your contributions will directly influence product quality and team collaboration, and you will be part of a dynamic group that promotes a fun and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of related technical design experience.
  • Prior experience in women's woven tops and bottoms strongly preferred.
  • Strong measuring skills and basic knowledge of grading principles.
  • Understanding of fit, pattern corrections, and garment construction.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry safety standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and overseas partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to team goals.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a positive approach to change.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design concepts into detailed technical design packages in Centric PLM.
  • Review fit samples and maintain organized records of comments and approvals.
  • Support and participate in live model and form fit sessions; document feedback and suggested changes.
  • Communicate fit and construction revisions through updated patterns, sketches, photos, or re-draped samples.
  • Ensure all fit session notes and updates are accurately entered into PLM in a timely manner.
  • Provide input on garment construction and its impact on fit, comfort, and durability.
  • Apply knowledge of industry safety standards to ensure compliance in product development.
  • Collaborate with design, product development, and sourcing partners to resolve technical issues.
