Your Impact Wind Turbine Traveling Technicians (Composite Repair) specialize in conducting inspection and corrective repair of composite Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) components, utilizing established procedures, with the highest regard for health, safety, and environmental compliance. Wind Turbine Traveling Composite Technician will be responsible for internal and external inspection and repair of blades, nacelles, and other composite components, and will carry out tasks such as sanding, cleaning, cutting and lay-up of fiberglass, carbon fiber and resin materials. As required, they may also assist in service and repair work on other wind turbine generator components, as well as related equipment and balance-of-plant. This position is 100% travel. Signing bonuses up to $6,500 available for qualified candidates with required certifications and experience. Core Responsibilities Employees in the Wind Turbine Composite Technician position should expect to: Evaluate, inspect, diagnose and document internal and external composite damage, then photograph and assemble documentation as required. Perform coating and structural repairs of internal and external composite structures, such as wind turbine blades and nacelles. Modify and repair fiberglass, carbon fiber, resin and other composite materials as needed. Work with site leadership to execute all contractual obligations and activities set forth with the customers daily, which can include composite repairs with respect to wind turbines. Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as required to maintain a safe working environment. Interpret engineering drawings and lamination schedules. Coordinate with the engineering support team when needed for non-standard repairs. Requires GWO Certification, either existing or available through Pearce Training Program. Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
