About The Position

UW Medical Center - Montlake's Cath Lab has an outstanding opportunity for an ADVANCED CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST (CVT). DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services. Our services include general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services. Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program AND registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) OR Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program AND Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND Licensure by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)

Responsibilities

  • Scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating complex interventional cardiology cases.
  • Effectively communicate with physicians and other staff about changes in the patient’s condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and symptomatology.
  • May participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department.
  • Case types include all complex coronary (PCI, CTO, Brachy), structural heart (TAVR, TMVR, Mitraclip, Tricuspid clip, LAAO, ASD/PFO/VSD, etc.), heart failure/transplant (Biopsies, RHC, Impella, Tandem, ECMO, IABP) and adult-congenital procedures
