About The Position

Join our Advanced Algorithm team as a Summer Intern and contribute to cutting-edge research in metrology technologies. You'll work on investigating and characterizing next-generation solutions against current best-known methods. This is a hands-on role where you'll collect data using KLA tools and software, analyze and summarize results, and help automate analysis workflows.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong background in computational physics (electromagnetics preferred).
• Experience implementing algorithms on HPC platforms (GPU experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with computational electromagnetic methods (e.g., RCWA, FDTD, FEM).
• Proficiency in Python, Triton or CUDA.
• Excellent data visualization and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of machine learning for physics-based problems (e.g., Fourier Neural Operator, Physics-Informed Neural Networks) is a plus.
• Knowledge of machine learning for image processing or image denoising is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Innovate next-generation electromagnetic solvers and implement them on high-performance computing (HPC) platforms.
• Explore machine learning techniques to accelerate electromagnetic solvers.
