Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized field required, plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience with Pro/ENGINEER (Pro-E), Creo, or SolidWorks
• Experience in mechanical design, part fabrication, and assembly of electronics
• Ability to develop new design approaches, evaluate alternatives, and establish backup plans

Nice To Haves

• Experience using strategic CAD and file management tools
• Broad competency across the applicable design domain
• Experience supporting design or test teams in regulated, high-reliability, or defense-related environments

Responsibilities

• Create new and revise existing designs, drawings, and bills of material (BOMs) for product development and sustainment
• Apply computer-aided design (CAD) engineering methods, theories, and research techniques to solve complex technical problems
• Support mechanical design, part fabrication, and electronic assembly integration
• Provide technical solutions for a wide range of difficult design-related challenges
• Lead or contribute as an individual technical contributor on a small design or test team
• Develop practical design alternatives and support implementation of the most effective solution
• Help ensure design documentation is accurate, complete, and properly controlled within file management systems
