We are currently seeking a Temporary Full-Time Adult Home Assistant Administrator to join our team in Bayport, NY. This leadership role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, and committed to empowering others. Please note, this is a temporary position for medical leave coverage

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency required
  • One year supervisory experience required
  • Experience working with elderly preferred
  • Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
  • Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle
  • Training in First Aid and CPR required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Electronic Health Record experience preferred
  • Successful completion of Physical and PPD

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible to the Administrator in the performance of a variety of supervisory duties assigned including all Adult Home Care Aide duties assigned by the Administrator.
  • Oversee the operations when the Administrator is off the premises
  • Monitoring and guidance to assist residents in performing basic activities of daily living
  • Monitoring residents to identify abrupt or progressive changes in behavior or appearance which may signify the need for assessment and service
  • Reporting to Administrator any changes or problems regarding staff or residents
  • Proper recording of incident reports copies and distribution
  • Handling individual emergencies or need for assistance including arranging for medical services, monitoring medication management
  • Conduct and supervision of evacuations and fire and evacuation drills
  • Organize and schedule all activities and plan sufficient supervision for each activity
  • Monitors medication management and maintains medications on hand
  • Orders medications for residents, ensuring adequate supply
  • Assists in transferring monthly medication records
  • Files resident info into resident records
  • Maintains clean and organized premise
  • Assist Administrator with writing case management notes and agency paperwork
  • Supervision of Adult Home Care Aides
  • Fill in for duties of Adult Home Care Aides as needed
  • Oversees/maintains cleanliness of the residence
  • Any other relevant duties the Administrator as assigned
