About The Position

As a Lead on the Ads Analytics team, you’ll contribute to the development of insights that help shape advertising strategy and performance across Best Buy Ads campaigns. This individual contributor role supports internal stakeholders and external clients by analyzing media delivery, performance, and first-party data to uncover trends and opportunities. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners and collaborate with peers on the Ads Analytics team to deliver high-impact, data-informed recommendations. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Ads Analytics. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in analytics, marketing, media, or a related field
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with modern analytics tools and frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to advertising agency or media environments
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics methods (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality)
  • Experience with tools such as BigQuery, Tableau, Excel, or Copilot
  • Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or R
  • Knowledge of ad-serving platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DV360, Meta Ads)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to identify performance drivers and optimization opportunities across media and audience insights.
  • Use tools such as BigQuery, Tableau, Excel, and Copilot, with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R, to deliver rigorous analysis.
  • Apply business and advertising acumen to interpret data and support effective media strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Communicate insights clearly through compelling storytelling to inform client-facing recommendations and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and data teams to share knowledge and drive data-informed decisions.
