Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Data entry experience.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMS) systems.
- Experience working in customer service environments.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- 1-3 years of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more.
- Experience with EPIC EMR system.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurances.
- Experience with billing.
Responsibilities
- Interviewing patients for admission to UCI medical facilities.
- Making financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients.
- Insurance verification and pre-authorizations.
- Maintaining medical records.
- Patient scheduling and re-scheduling.
