About The Position

Admission Specialists are responsible for prompt clinical review of all referrals for residential treatment determining, as part of a committee, clients appropriateness for treatment, and for accessing clients into KidsPeace programs in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License required

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline preferred
• Background in psychology, social work, and/or counseling and/or a demonstrated understanding of clinical needs of children and adolescents preferred
• Prior experience in sales and/or marketing beneficial
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform all intake and admissions functions in order to assess clients for new programs
• Interview, counsel and meet with client, family and referral source to answer questions, gather necessary information and facilitate client's smooth transition into appropriate treatment unit
• Maintain accurate records of telephone inquiries for Client Services and Director of Centralized Admissions
• Complete paperwork and record keeping as required by Medical Assistance funding mandates
• Market KidsPeace programs via telephone contacts, campus tours and conferences. Accompany Client Services on marketing calls as needed
• Collaborate with the Contracts Department to ensure that funding is in place when existing contracts are not established
• Assist in the development of new procedures and policies to streamline admissions tasks and ensure timely admissions and cost-effective service delivery
• Perform on call responsibilities to include accepting communication outside working hours and providing coverage on site when requested
