About The Position

Friends University is seeking to fill an Admissions Specialist position in Wichita Kansas. The Admissions Specialist recruit new students for traditional undergraduate fine arts programs. Represents the University at high school visits, college fairs, etc. Plays a critical role in student and family visits to the campus and additional events. Communicating via phone, email, text, social networking and in person and/or visiting with counselors, teachers and coaches at high schools and community colleges. Limited travel to high schools and community colleges in and out of the state of Kansas. Attend recruiting fairs and other off-campus events. Requirements

  • Well-developed public speaking, presentation, communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional work experience in sales/promotion/public relations or related field preferred with the proven ability to meet goals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft environments including Word and Excel required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SCT Banner, sales force, and Microsoft office helpful.
  • Bilingual in English-Spanish is a plus.
