About The Position

This position functions as the support for the Admissions Process for CHRIS 180 to enable children, youth, families, and individuals to obtain the behavioral health services they are requesting and need.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with two years of employment experience
  • Organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks successfully.
  • An understanding of the concepts of childcare & mental health/substance abuse disorders
  • Ability to effectively relate to consumers, parents/custodians of all social, economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds, with firmness, fairness, and concern,
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly is also necessary for this position.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Solid decision-making ability as related to the safety and well-being of consumers, families, community, and staff.
  • Be guided by precedent and established policy and procedure in decision-making.
  • This person will be required to analyze and react to difficult situations, often while under considerable stress and pressure.
  • Dependability, emotional stability, and physical capability.
  • This position requires some physical functions that are essential to satisfactory performance of the outlined job responsibilities, i.e., sitting, standing, walking, driving, speaking, hearing and the ability to physically restrain (when necessary)

  • Answer telephone calls and emails accordingly
  • Respond to requests for information from stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Make necessary referrals to meet consumer's health, well-being, education, mental health, and employment needs (i.e., Department of Public Health, Department of Family & Children Services, Georgia Department of Labor, employment staffing agencies, local colleges and tech schools, etc.)
  • Verify and update patient information in EHR.
  • Work as liaison with Utilization Manager as necessary
  • Collaborate and communicate with other programs in the CHRIS 180 continuum in the provision of services to consumers.
  • Collaborate and consult with other providers and entities in the provision of best care services to consumers.
  • Follow up with referral sources in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate exceptional engagement skills in providing trauma-focused mental health treatment to target population.
  • Complete Triage forms with new consumers/referral sources/agencies as they are presented and schedule a comprehensive assessment within 3 to 5 business days (36 to72 hours)
  • Complete insurance verifications daily when scheduling initial intakes and check insurance for daily appointments when at CCA.
  • Assist with SBMH insurance verifications as well.
  • Follow up calls to referral sources, families, consumers, etc.
  • Input new consumers into scheduling system to include insurance information, demographics, referral source and guardians telephone number with the date of the referral. (POE)
  • Initiate new consumers into electronic health record.
  • Adhere to the organization policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in assigned meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality of consumer information.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Follow the CHRIS 180 Code of Ethics
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements of GA Code.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend and participate in required training as scheduled.
  • Maintain required certifications.
  • Review, understand, and be responsible for program policies.
  • Provide documents in a timely fashion to Human Resources.
  • Report changes in status to HR as required by policy.
