About The Position

BryLin Hospital has been a trusted provider of behavioral health services across Western New York for over 60 years. We're seeking a detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to support our inpatient psychiatric units. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, accurate, and compassionate admissions experience for our patients. SHIFT: 3:00pm-11:00pm and 9:00am-5:00pm

Requirements

• Strong organization and multitasking skills
• Clear communication and customer service experience

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with healthcare or insurance processes preferred
• Behavioral health experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Verify daily census and update patient tracking boards
• Run reports and distribute to departments each morning
• Confirm insurance coverage, including Medicare and behavioral health benefits
• Prepare charts and complete all demographic and legal intake paperwork
• Register patients in our system and notify units of arrivals
• Maintain accurate records of admissions, discharges, and legal status
• Collaborate with nursing, medical records, and utilization review staff
• Assist with chart preparation, document tracking, and insurance precertification
