About The Position

  • High School or GED Equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Business Administration, Accounting, Health Information Management, Medical Assisting or a related field.
  • 1-3 years related experience

Responsibilities

  • Register patients in a timely and accurate manner and providing direction to patients, families and visitors.
  • Collect and accurately record patient information, including personal details, medical history and insurance information.
  • Complete necessary procedures to create accounts, verify insurance coverage, collection of deductibles and co-pays and providing education on insurance eligibility.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations or referrals, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Perform generalized secretarial duties as needed including, but not limited to: front desk reception, phone reception; word processing; collates, faxes, mails and assembles reports and documents, assists in the coordinating the schedule and appointments.
