About The Position

Spring Valley Hospital, a 366-bed facility in southwest Las Vegas and a member of The Valley Health System, offers a wide range of services including emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, surgical services, women’s health, comprehensive maternity services, and a level III neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and holds TJC Advanced Certifications in Primary Heart Attack, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke, and Hip and Knee Total Joint Replacement. It has received recognition from US News & World Report for its achievements in various specialty programs and the "Best Place to Have a Baby Gold Award." The Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is a distinguished Center of Excellence. ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Medical Center, provides 24/7 emergency care and has TJC Advanced Certifications in Acute Stroke Ready and Acute Heart Attack Ready. The Valley Health System is an integrated system of care in Southern Nevada with over 9,000 employees, dedicated to exemplary patient care and training future healthcare providers. The Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring that necessary information for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines. This position plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare services delivery and requires individuals who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and equipped with the necessary experience and skills to handle the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency including word processing and patient accounting system
  • HIPPA and PCI Compliance required
  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient

Nice To Haves

  • High School or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years hands-on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in patient admission
  • Insurance knowledge
  • Accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language (for some positions)
