About The Position

As a Patient Registration Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients arriving via ambulance, walk-in, or scheduled visits. You’ll manage EPIC tracking boards, perform bedside registration, gather demographic and insurance information, and ensure all necessary documentation and copays are collected. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional service across various hospital departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EPIC tracking boards for admissions and registration needs
• Register Direct Admit, Labor & Delivery, and Behavioral Health Unit patients
• Perform bedside registration and collect copays
• Confirm patient demographics and insurance details
• Collect IMM and MOON signatures for Medicare patients
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and DNV/Corporate standards
• Use translation tools for non-English or hearing-impaired patients
• Provide financial information including Charity Care and Self-pay options
• Operate and manage telephone systems
• Attend training sessions for insurance updates
• Assist patients across hospital departments
