About The Position

The Administrative Nurse (RN) serves as a clinical and operational liaison within the Admissions Team. This position ensures that all potential clients are clinically ready for admission and that each facility’s medical and clinical standards are met before placement. This RN collaborates closely with the admissions department, clinical directors, and medical teams across all Aliya Health Group facilities. The goal is to streamline pre-admission reviews, improve efficiency, and ensure every admission meets medical and clinical requirements.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in at least one U.S. state (Compact License strongly preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in clinical nursing—preferably in behavioral health, detox, residential treatment, or admissions/discharge coordination.
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment with the ability to identify medical, psychiatric, and behavioral appropriateness for treatment.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and support admissions and non-clinical staff.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with both clinical and operational teams
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, EMR platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.
  • Familiarity with ASAM criteria, state licensing requirements, and payer guidelines.
  • Experience in workflow design, policy writing, or process-improvement initiatives.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent process-improvement training.

Responsibilities

  • Review all pre-admission clinical assessments to determine medical and clinical appropriateness for treatment.
  • Liaise between the Admissions Team and medical/clinical staff to secure clearances, resolve clinical concerns, and ensure smooth transitions into care.
  • Participate in daily or weekly admissions huddles to review complex cases and confirm bed availability and readiness.
  • Develop, update, and implement training programs for admissions staff on clinical screening, risk indicators, and coordination with facility teams.
  • Create processes and checklists that improve communication between departments, reduce delays, and maintain compliance with AHG clinical standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance during the admissions decision process for higher-risk or medically complex cases.
  • Conduct periodic audits of pre-admission assessments and recommend quality improvements.
  • Track and report on metrics related to admission efficiency, pre-assessment turnaround time, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with nursing and clinical leadership to align admissions procedures with licensing, accreditation, and state requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge in behavioral health, detoxification, and residential treatment standards.
