About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers offering the highest standard of medical and clinical treatment across various levels of care. The Admissions Nurse (RN) will manage the complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment. This role involves completing all nursing shift duties, such as taking vitals, conducting drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work. The nurse will also be responsible for coordinating pharmacy and prescription needs, dispensing medication, and maintaining accurate medication logs. Collaboration with extended medical, clinical, and utilization review (UR) teams is essential for total coordination of care, ensuring complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client. The position is located at Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore, a 100-bed residential facility providing inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in a newly renovated, modern, and appealing building with an array of amenities, set on picturesque and secluded property.

Requirements

Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
Current licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges- RN
Strong written and oral communication skills
Detail-oriented, withy ability to multitask and work efficiently
Compassionate and dignified character which models recovery principles

Responsibilities

Manage complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment
