About The Position

Under general supervision of the Aquatics Operations Supervisor, the Admissions Manager is responsible for supervising the Rainbow Falls Waterpark Admissions area, Cashier staff, and the majority of Customer Service at the Park. The Admissions Manager is hired as a seasonal employee, spanning Memorial Day through Labor Day. Work is performed at a self controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the situation at hand.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • 18 years of age or older (preferred)
  • Comfortable learning and navigating point of sale, member check in, and program registration software
  • CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees
  • Must have worked as a Lifeguard at Rainbow Falls Waterpark for one full summer
  • Minimum 2 years of Cashier and Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate Cashiers
  • Manage the Admissions operations at Rainbow Falls Waterpark during open swim, programming, and special events
  • Work in conjunction with the Pool Manager to oversee and assist in emergency procedures and evacuations
  • Schedule cashiers and respond to coverage needs in daily schedule
  • Oversee admissions operations including processing Point of Sale transactions, selling daily admission and memberships, as well as registering participants for programs.
  • Oversee cash operations including verifying accuracy of end of shift deposits, creating change requests, and managing cash strips
  • Complete daily documentation and paperwork, including submitting work orders for necessary repairs and maintenance
  • Possess a working knowledge of all Park District facilities, programs, and pricing with an emphasis on Aquatics facilities, programs, and pricing
  • Measure Rainbow Falls patrons and give each person the appropriate wristband
  • Clean and organize the front lobby and workstation
  • Bring and use proper sun protection on every shift that includes time outdoors
  • Organize and inventory merchandise and wristbands
  • Communicate with all Park District personnel, including security, aquatic staff and party staff as needed
  • Go beyond the expected to provide exemplary customer service to patrons, including sharing information about the pool rules, EGPD programs, facilities, and events, and answering questions
  • Perform the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules
  • Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks
  • Responsible for other duties as deemed appropriate by the Aquatics Supervisors or Aquatics Manager
  • Follow all Federal and State Labor Laws
