About The Position

The Admissions Leadership Intern serves as a key representative of Highlands College and an extension of the Admissions Team’s strategic recruitment efforts. This role requires a high-capacity student leader who embodies the mission, culture, and spiritual ethos of Highlands College and can confidently represent the college in both external and internal environments. This intern will travel to represent Highlands College at strategic recruiting events and, while on campus, contribute meaningfully to admissions strategy, communication workflows, and engagement initiatives. The position is designed for a student who demonstrates initiative, ownership, spiritual maturity, and the ability to influence others positively.

  • Demonstrate spiritual leadership and alignment with Highlands College values.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and relational maturity.
  • Ability to travel, including some weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Current Highlands College student in good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and personal responsibility.
  • Ability to travel (including occasional weekends).
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Highlands College.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

  • Ability to articulate the value of Highlands College and essential details to a variety of audiences.
  • Current Highlands College Undergraduate Student, Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
  • Good physical condition.
  • Ability to drive as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • The physical activity of this job includes climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.

Nice To Haves

  • Public speaking and sales experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary student representative at high schools, churches, conferences, and recruiting events.
  • Communicate Highlands College’s mission, academic programs, formation model, and student experience with clarity and conviction.
  • Build trust with prospective students, parents, pastors, and ministry leaders.
  • Identify high-potential prospects and relay insights to the Admissions Team.
  • Model excellence in professionalism, appearance, and conduct during travel.
  • Assist in leading portions of recruitment presentations when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Admissions leadership to strengthen inquiry-to-application and acceptance-to-enrollment engagement.
  • Support data-informed follow-up efforts via calls, texts, and email.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve yield and reduce melt.
  • Assist in planning and execution of Discovery Days, Accepted Student Days, and campus visit experiences.
  • Provide feedback from the field to help refine messaging and recruitment strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates and assist with recruitment reporting.
  • Help cultivate a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and excellence within the Admissions Team.
  • Mentor or assist the training of entry-level ambassadors or student workers when appropriate
  • Demonstrate spiritual leadership and alignment with Highlands College values.
  • Take the initiative to identify operational improvement opportunities.
