About The Position

Admissions Director Grandview Rehab is seeking an Admissions Director who will be responsible for overseeing the admissions process to ensure timely, compliant, and appropriate placement of residents. This role partners closely with hospitals, referral sources, families, and internal clinical teams to support census growth while ensuring a smooth admission experience.

Requirements

• Prior healthcare admissions experience (skilled nursing preferred)
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EMR and admissions software
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (healthcare, business, or related field)
• Minimum of 2–3 years of healthcare admissions or intake experience

Nice To Haves

• Marketing or referral development experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process from referral intake through admission decision
• Review clinical documentation to determine appropriateness of admission
• Coordinate with nursing, therapy, and business office teams
• Communicate effectively with hospitals, case managers, families, and referral partners
• Track and report admissions activity, denials, and census trends
• Ensure compliance with Connecticut state regulations and federal requirements
• Participate in census and marketing meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in admissions systems
