Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years sales experience in relevant behavioral health field.
  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and client service skills.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health services, insurance verification, and referral networks.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Admissions Management
  • Develop and implement admissions strategies to optimize conversion rates and census growth.
  • Utilize data analysis and market insights to enhance admissions performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all admissions processes align with regulatory, ethical, and company standards.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Building
  • Act as a trusted advisor for prospective clients and families, offering expert guidance on program offerings, costs, and the admissions process.
  • Establish and maintain high-value relationships with referral partners, mental health professionals, treatment facilities, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead client consultations, intake assessments, and strategic decision-making to ensure appropriate placement.
  • Sales, Marketing, and Business Development
  • Proactively drive lead generation and referral development, contributing to overall census and revenue goals.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, presenting the value of Embark Behavioral Health’s specialty programs to potential clients and external partners.
  • Partner with marketing, outreach, and operational teams to align messaging and enhance the admissions pipeline.
  • Operational Oversight and Compliance
  • Oversee the processing of applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle management on insurance verification and financial counseling for families.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take initiative to improve admissions efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for admissions best practices and process improvements.
  • Work closely with on-site admissions teams, clinical staff, operations, and leadership to ensure an exceptional client experience.
  • Participate in training, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of program offerings including the cost of care and ability to guide clients to the appropriate placement.
  • Answer calls and overflow lines for Specialty programs with the goal of less than 8% missed call rate.
  • Assisting with referral partner leads to Embark branded programs when indicated necessary.
  • Submit verification of benefits and insurance authorizations on behalf of families.
  • Provide superior experience for clients to exceed their expectations and generate trust in Embark Behavioral Health and all associated programs.
  • Present and demonstrate programs, program benefits and value to potential clients and their families.
  • Forge meaningful connections with clients, ensuring every interaction is personal and seamless.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the company’s behavioral health services.
  • Supports the onsite Admissions teams to achieve enrollment targets, customer satisfaction, lead management and quality standards.
  • Oversee the processing of applications for specialty programs, ensuring all materials are received, reviewed, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants, answering inquiries, providing guidance on application requirements, and addressing any issues that arise during the admissions process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, mental health professionals, treatment facilities and other key decision makers.
  • Take initiative to strategize and increase individual productivity.
  • Collaborate with program-based staff to ensure exceptional admission process.
  • Support lead generation and marketing initiatives, as needed, to increase brand awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of admission statuses, admission decisions and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and outreach, revenue cycle management, operations, etc., to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategy.
