JOB SUMMARY: Provides comprehensive evaluations on outpatients and inpatients, assuring accurate placement of patients. Assure adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides assessments on inpatients and assigned outpatients. Applies patient placement criteria to assure appropriate referral of patients within the continuum of care. Assists in telephone services to public and patients and responding to inquiries, documenting these calls in TIER and communicates with supervisor. Provides educational presentations as scheduled to patients and the public. Coordinates admissions with other departments to assure flow of services to patients being evaluated. Attends staffing presentations for treatment planning as scheduled. Assures records are maintained according to CARF, state and Rimrock policies and standards. Attends in-service and departmental meetings. Facilitates a Family Week group as assigned by supervisor EDUCATION/TRAINING: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or Human Services. Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or other Behavioral Science degree preferred. Must be licensed Addiction Counselor in Montana or eligible for licensing. CPR/First Aid certified. SKILLS: Biopsychosocial evaluation skills, ability to administer testing instruments, oral and written communication skills and ability to relate to the public and represent Rimrock’s mission. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily in main facility.
