About The Position

Culver Academies is a private boarding school with a mission to educate students for leadership and responsible citizenship by developing the whole individual, mind, spirit, and body. Located in Culver, Indiana, on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, the campus spans 1,800 acres with historic Gothic buildings. The school enrolls students from across the United States and globally and seeks diverse talent to support its mission. The Admissions Coordinator for Summer Schools and Camps plays a crucial role in the application and enrollment process for approximately 1400 new and returning campers annually, while also providing support to the staff supervising these campers.

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma/GED.
  • Ability to write and edit effectively.
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work effectively within every level of the school.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Computer proficient with exceptional data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work under pressure of many priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized courses in business practices and office administration.
  • 3 years of general office work experience.
  • An understanding of Culver Summer Schools and Camps operations.
  • Spanish speaking language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the overall application process and enrollment of 1400 new and returning campers each year.
  • Supports the additional staff that is brought in to supervise the campers.
  • Communicating with parents.
  • Verifying accurate completion of camper applications.
  • Processing financial aid requests.
  • Ensuring proper processing of deposits and tuition payments.
  • Giving campus tours.
  • Assembling appropriate marketing items to be sent to prospective patrons.
  • Support Culver Summer Schools and Camps Counselors during camp as directed by the Summer School Director.
